Cheese & Wine Tour of Zakarpattia – 2 Days from Lviv
This cheese and wine tour of Zakarpattia is a two-day trip from Lviv combining castles, thermal waters, local wines, regional cheeses and Carpathian scenery.
Day 1: travel across the Carpathians to Mukachevo, where we explore the town and Palanok Castle. Continue to the Berehove area, where the programme can include thermal pools, time in Berehove and a tasting of Zakarpattia wines. Overnight accommodation is arranged in Berehove or the surrounding area.
Day 2: after breakfast, discover local cheeses and the gastronomic traditions of the region before travelling to Synevyr National Nature Park. Visit Lake Synevyr and the Brown Bear Rehabilitation Centre, then return to Lviv in the evening.
Depending on the season, weather and availability, the itinerary can include additional gastronomic or natural attractions in Zakarpattia.
